Not sure the squishy fidget I got for my sessions is quite gonna have the effect I hoped. Might be more traumatising than anything else

Spent yesterday at Healthwatch's Active Healthy Family Forum at Sholver Community Centre. The event provided families with advice and education around local health and well-being offers. We informed parents (and the Mayor) about what the team do in schools around Oldham.

Starting the new SWP course this week. Excited to learn all about the different presentations and how to help them - in particular OCD, I’ve heard it’s great to work with. If anyone’s doing the course already it would be great to hear their thoughts on what it’s like.

Rob from our Oldham mental health support team @PennineCAMHS has some advice for anyone moving to university next month: "Spend the time leading up to uni doing small things to put yourself gradually more and more out of your comfort zone." 1/2

Always such a good feeling when you meet one of the schools you’re going to be working with and they’re so welcoming and all the staff are lovely. Feel I’ve been really lucky with the schools I’ve been given over the last year or so.

@lucyrothpsych Love the bottom bit about changing the attention - in the past I have ended the tree at let the worry go, and I always think that’s such a hard thing to do! Gonna use this from now on, thanks!

The (Christmas) worry tree is a great resource to use with CYP to help them take control and manage their worries. It also makes a nice breathing technique🎄

Today's well-being workshop for Year 2- discussing what makes them feel scared or anxious and how it makes their body feel. Thank you Rob from Oldham's Mental Health Support Team (MHST).

Some absolute stinkers in the first two, but this third round of World Cup matches has been unreal

Been an exciting/busy last month for me. Firstly I moved from Cheshire and Wirral NHS trust to Pennine care - that makes my journey in the mornings so much easier! I’ve also recently received confirmation that I’ve passed the training course which is great. Loved every minute!

Would like to thank Gareth Southgate for massively contributing to allowing me to get 11 hours of sleep. Don’t think I’ve ever watched a more boring game - complete mood killer.
