Our latest systematic review is now live in @EmergencyMedBMJ. We looked at the association between intra-arrest DBP & CPP and ROSC. The data supports a move toward physiology-guided CPR, with 35mmHg DBP emerging as a potential target. @EMManchester

Fantastic work on a really topical issue in cardiac resuscitation.
Coronary Perfusion Pressure (and DBP) appear to be a factor in ROSC.

The victim of Monday's shark attack in Manly was initially assessed as having a 5% chance. A clinical professor of emergency medicine specialising in pre-hospital critical care of severe injuries, traumatic cardiac arrest, and aeromedical retrieval was nearby and rushed to help. That aid, along with the rescue helicopter crew's proactive decision to bring additional blood and fluids, helped stabilise the man. He is now in hospital in critical but stable condition.

@IM_Crit_ They are not screening tests. They are/were designed for risk stratification.
How we transformed from that into using them as automated screening/alert tools is beyond me.
