Calling bereaved men: will you help my colleagues to improve the support we offer to deathbed companions? Volunteer by email at dbe.research.enquiries@lancaster.ac.uk All bereaved voices welcome, but the researchers are especially short of responses from men. Please share.

Dr Zoe Williams, "As a GP, to suggest that somebody who is meeting a person who doesn't just have a mental health condition, or a physical health condition, they have a life, they have a family. Our lives are complicated. The things that dictate whether or not we're able to work are very complex" @DrZoeWilliams "To suggest somebody meeting a patient for the first time can do that assessment better than their GP, is wrong, and frankly, I find it quite insulting" "It's very very dangerous. And in 2011 something similar happened. People were sent for these assessments, and I saw first hand through my patients how devastating it was. It was a real set back for people's health" "People who were already struggling with difficult financial circumstances, possibly difficult family circumstances, living in areas where they dont have access to healthy food. All of these compounded by their ability to claim benefits. If you take that away from them, they can spiral into further disease and destruction" "This policy says that Rishi Sunak says he doesn't believe people when they say they can't work" "As a GP working with these people, people don't come in and ask for sick notes when they don't need them very often.. The vast majority of people dont.. This policy is dangerous and it's damaging"

What should happen at a HRT review? *Vibing to this track** 😍 🎵SpongeBob SquarePants🎵🎵 Once #HRT is started than as per NICE guidance, a review should happen after 3month, then depending on response 3-6month. Once established a HRT review should happen once a year. #menopause #perimenopause #womenshealth : : The Knowledge. Is this person in front of you sick or frail? It takes a bit of time to make the effort to find out. Hopefully we’ve explained how, and why this is important.

Having returned to the acute setting, I have seen many older people given beakers, even though they can drink from a mug. They can be so harmful & I’m not sure why so many people are using them. Can anyone help me understand, or point me to any bedside assessment tools?
