@SusanDReynolds It’s less than $120 for the ticket (I know from experience). You could request a plate and put it on your dash, but that is also not an appropriate place to display. Most cops don’t care but you obviously care across someone with a mission

I got a ticket for not having a front license plate. My car doesn’t have a place for a front plate. Meanwhile I could stand next to my car and smoke fentanyl — or even sell it — and not get a ticket. Make San Francisco make sense.

@omoelerinjare1 Police could have easily claimed existent circumstances and gone in without the warrant, depending on what the reporting party stated. In CA, Police can employ the Welfare and Institutions Code to take custody of the child if deemed necessary.

A Palm Beach County man firmly invoked his Fourth Amendment rights when police and a family services worker arrived without a warrant for a welfare check on his young daughter. Speaking calmly through his intercom with cameras recording, he asked if they had a warrant. @amyforsandiego LE is understaffed statewide. Ex. Academy 6 months. Cadets = 100- drop rate of 30% = 70 officers e try 6 months. Attrition due to injury, retirement, quit = 12 per month. 12 x 6 months = 72. So - 2 officers per 6 months. All agencies trying to get same candidates.

SOURCE: The San Diego Police Department Northern Division is where the Islamic Center shooting happened and they were 7 officers understaffed today for morning watch. The mother of one of the shooters called PD at 9am to report her son stole her car and the father’s guns and left a note about “shooting up a place.” The CALL HELD for 2 HOURS before an officer went to handle it. The active shooter came out while the unit was speaking with the mom. This whole thing could have been stopped if we had adequate staffing. The largest schools in Texas boast up to 6000 students while CA largest is 4000. In sports the top schools in CA privates have 300-1000. No fan base
