Perhaps, there’s merit to Clu’s work. I haven’t heard about the stories though. I’m not around as much to hear about them. 〔 Bartik’s understanding of Clu felt indifferent—a part of him wants to understand the idea behind his purpose. ) I assume he’s taken a liking to you.

she’s experienced them — few and far between, but she’s known them. one day she’ll have to find and thank the programs who have shown her kindness. she wouldn’t be here without ( them ), and especially not without hopper.

He could understand that, in a way. Sometimes The Grid felt cruel and unforgiving—but there were some moments of kindness that he could appreciate.

the moment hopper starts running, tay does too. she knows beyond any doubt that they’re being followed, and she knows that hopper is her only way out. so, she runs, as fast as her legs can carry her, all the while holding hopper’s hand like it’s her only chance.

Somehow, he could sense Tay’s worries from here—there could’ve been a better way to do this, but. . .well, he’s not as safe as he thought he was. ❝You’re gonna have to trust me on this one. . .but I feel like you already do.❞ However, Hopper will wait for her to get on.
