So happy I finally watched Sabar Bonda (2025) What a beautiful film. Traditions. Customs. Societal norms. Cultural expectations. Family. Conformity. Grief. A reconnected old flame. These themes form the heart of Sabar Bonda's storytelling. When death befalls Anand's father and forces him to return to his village to oversee burial affairs, one that spans ten days, Anand is forced to put up with the barrage of incessant questioning from his paternal family concerning marital status, finding a girl, and settling down. In the process, his return to the village provides him with an opportunity to reconnect with Balya, Anand's childhood friend who secretly harbors romantic feelings for him. Sabar Bonda is a film about a quiet, powerful kind of love. It doesn't brag or shout about it. Instead, it quietly allows the attraction between both men to unfold in an organic way that feels right.

In a flood-threatened village, Marko's life is turned upside down when Slaven returns for his father's funeral and rekindles their forbidden romance. Marko must confront his family and make a difficult choice. I got to see this film last year and really enjoyed it. I need more Eastern European queer films! Movie- SANDBAG DAM

When a dear family member in Marius' life abruptly, and tragically passes away, Marius finds himself questioning life, his pursuit of happiness, and consequently hopping on a one-way trip to Serbia in search of Ali.

Just Friends (2018) Both Joris and Yad are attractive jocks in their own right. Joris is your typical gym bro who yearns to get bigger, downs protein drinks, and has stereotypically masculine interests such as drones, bikes, and comparing male physiques. Meanwhile, Yad is a wild boy. An avid partygoer. He is cheeky, gutsy, and quick-witted. He enjoys outdoor sports, preferring to spend his time surfing. What do the two have in common? They're crazily in love with one another.

Adam is gay. Like seriously gay. He is also into flannels, collared tees, khakis, and regular-cut jeans. He shows up for Poker Nights and is down for Taco Bell on first dates. He is a mechanic and an avid car enthusiast. He isn't shy about working out shirtless with his straight bros on a hot, sunny afternoon. He loves The Godfather and Scarface. Things that are largely considered "ungay" for a gay man. Which is why his coming out moment baffles his straight bros - Chris, Nick, and Ortu. It also results in many comedic moments in which his friends make countless embarrassing attempts to understand gay culture, to no avail. Movie - 4th Man Out (2015)

This was a pretty cute series. Tackled stereotypes, gender roles, and even stuff like being ace in a simple and charming matter and it was not very long. Definitely recommend.

Handsome Devil is a film about solidarity, camaraderie, and standing up to what's right. And it isn't afraid to explore moments that are very relevant to the early 21st century homophobia at the workplace or school. In one scenes, Dunford's character is seen convincing the headmaster to look into Scott's past, implying his sexual orientation violates everything the school stands for and deserves a case review. In another, he instructs a fellow rugby player to dig into Masters' past and uses it to coerce the star Rugby player to forego his pursuit and love for Arts. It might be triggering the same, but also very, very, very satisfyingly delivered when these moments of injustice receive their overdue comeuppance. Movie - Handsome devil (2016)

Waseem is a Syrian refugee seeking asylum in Germany. Owing to his status as an asylum seeker, he is mostly confined to the walls of his refugee camp. To pass the time, he frequently visits gay hotspots and offers sexual favors in exchange for money. His only condition is he does not take it up the ass.
