@TimSuttonMusic You're quite right - not at all nerdy! And thanks for the kind words . It was my hope from the start that we'd turn people on to Hammer perhaps for the first time.

@EOFFTV Loving the podcast - thanks for opening up a new universe for me - looking forward to delving into these films. A small nerdy correction - A Shot in the Dark wasn’t the first Pink Panther film - The Pink Panther was.

A new Bond (Timothy Dalton) promises much that The Living Daylights (1987) mostly delivers. Less silly than the latter-day Roger Moore's, this bond is tougher, more like Ian Fleming's version and the film is all the better for it. eofftvreview.wordpress.com/2026/03/21/the…

@EOFFTV I think that's exactly why it could be a really entertaining pod. Hearing your opinions on the zero gravity, slo-mo fight scene would be worth it alone!

@EOFFTV "Johnson is unfortunately terrible and the whole business about Bibi lusting after Bond is… not at all right." What?! 😢

For Your Eyes Only (1981) is an improvement on Moonraker(1979) - almost anything would be - and is mostly pretty good. But there are a couple of scenes that completely ruin it and the series was going to struggle to find its feet for several more years. eofftvreview.wordpress.com/2026/02/21/for…

@EOFFTV I'm playing catch-up on the Hammer Time podcasts (& trying to watch the films as I go too), so I'm a bit behind schedule. I have to say, much as I enjoy Captain Clegg I reckon if it's considered a horror due to its occasional scare, then perhaps Moon Zero Two should be too? 😉

Badly compromised post-production, Donald Cammell's Demon Seed (1977) is a disappointing and illogical adaptation of the Dean Koontz novel. Julie Christie comes close to saving it though. eofftvreview.wordpress.com/2026/03/10/dem…

More weirdness from the Play for Today strand with Jumping Bean Bag (1976), a hallucinatory and cautionary tale of teenage rock wannabes, social commentary, and glam/prog songs. Make of that what you will... eofftvreview.wordpress.com/2026/03/09/pla…

@EOFFTV Thanks for, even if it was just for a short while, interrupting my doomsday mood. Anyhow, these German Czechoslovakian co-productions were fantastic. youtu.be/5fUfjKpWyEI?is…

James Bond was back scraping the bottom of the barrel again in the dismal A View to a Kill (1985), one of the most boring films in the series. It was Roger Moore's last and things would get, temporarily better, with the next entry. eofftvreview.wordpress.com/2026/03/07/a-v…

The Boogey Man (1980) is probably Ulli Lommel's best American film (though that's not saying much), a derivative but fun supernatural chiller full of gimmicky killings and a decent conceit about a haunted mirror. eofftvreview.wordpress.com/2026/03/06/the…
