EO Summit (@EOSummitConf) started out as a passion project - born out of the frustration of barely seeing or hearing from any end-users of Earth observation at any conference within the geospatial/space domain (having attended most of them). Two editions later - London in 2024, New York in 2025 - that has slowly started to change. At the first EO Summit, ~30% of attendees came from insurance, finance, agriculture, energy, utilities, environment and non-profits. In New York, that grew to ~40%. I am extremely proud of two things: - We brought in enterprise EO users from multiple sectors and non-profits who had never attended or spoken at a geospatial or space conference before - More users were on stage than providers, sharing real use cases, the value of satellite data, and the challenges in adoption Organising this independently is hard. No institutional backing, purely driven by sponsors and registrations. So, I am grateful to everyone who has supported the event since day one.
