October is Principal Appreciation Month! All week we’re celebrating the amazing principals who make a difference every day. Today, we’re proud to spotlight our middle school leaders!

⭐️ Sechin Tower – Henry M. Jackson High: Principal Tower brings positivity and innovation to his school. His focus on collaboration and achievement inspires pride throughout the campus. ⭐️ Jack Roy – Sequoia High: Principal Roy leads with compassion and determination, creating an environment where students feel seen and supported. His commitment ensures every learner has the chance to succeed.

⭐️ Michael Takayoshi – Cascade High: Principal Takayoshi leads with dedication and vision, encouraging students to pursue excellence in every area. His leadership helps build a strong and connected school community. ⭐️ Kelly Shepherd – Everett High: Principal Shepherd is committed to a culture of growth and opportunity. She supports both students and staff in reaching their highest potential.

Her vision inspires teamwork and success.  ⭐️ Tony Wentworth – Whittier Elementary: Principal Wentworth blends encouragement with high expectations. His leadership helps students and teachers flourish together.

Congratulations to Whittier Elementary for being recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School! Even though the U.S. Department of Education discontinued the program on August 29, the award had already been confirmed and finalized. Congratulations Whittier!

Whittier hosted Joanna Ho, the famous author of "Eyes That Kiss in the Corners" & "Becoming Boba" this week for an all-school Zoom assembly. She shared the message that words are power, stories are power, and everyone has the ability to create positive change.
