Saturday in Witham with foot patrols, a busy Community Beat Surgery, we attended & resolved a disturbance. 2x Section 59 warnings were issued to E-Scooter owners to curb their use & speed checks on Spa Rd & Maldon Rd saw 25 verbal warnings & 3 traffic offence reports issued

Road traffic incidents both ends of my shift but filled the middle with foot patrol, visiting residents & businesses. E-Scooter removed from the street. Hatfield Peverel library visited to prevent ASB & returned for mobile patrols on the Witham estates. #YouSaidWeDid #Community

Foot patrol on the RIverWalk where there has been a rise in anti-social behaviour impacting residents. CCTV has been obtained and more visible patrols will be carried out. Mobile patrols on Haygreen Rd to provide reassurance. Incident in the town & visit to Hatfield Peverel

Foot patrols on Newland St resulted in a driver warned for excess speed. Visibility around the Skate Park, ASDA & the RiverWalk. Welfare checks on homeless people & met with resident concerning recent anti-social behaviour & how we can tackle it together.

Today I attended the Witham Dog Show with a pop-up stall. An opportunity for residents & visitors to talk about the community but I also had the best engagement with children & families. With stickers, colouring, scratch art & hats to try it was a lovely event. #MyOtherLife

In the last 2 shifts, I held the Community Beat Surgery, dealt with ASB, disrupted drug related activity, submitted intel reports, conveyed an aggressive suspect, attended & dealt with a road collision, provided reassurance for a resident & conducted high visibility foot patrols

High visibility foot patrols, I used my local knowledge to direct units to a person in crisis. Located a suspected drink driver, we carried out 2x speed checks on Spa Rd & Rickstones Rd, attended the unathourised encampment on Cypress Rd & area search for suspects of an assault.

My regular Community Beat Surgery @WithamHub provides an opportunity for direct engagement with an @EssexPoliceUK officer. Reassurance provided for nearby stores to deter crime & spoke to residents concerning local issues. Foot patrol followed & incidents attended #YouSaidWeDid

The Witham Community Special Team supported the annual Easter Egg Hunt yesterday. The free event saw 600 children collect clues along the RiverWalk & our pop-up stand provided great engagement with games, giveaways & access to the public order van. We wish you a very Happy Easter

We extend our area to support nearby community events & I was invited to the OP Varsity Remembrance Service at RAF / USAAF Rivenhall. A new museum to remember the wartime airfield & the brave men who gave their lives will open next year at the site. We will remember them

We were in #Witham with the Community Beat Surgery so residents could speak with us @WithamHub, foot patrols in town, investigated 2 shoplifting incidents, reassurance patrols on the RiverWalk & gave advice to children around Walnut Drive concerning their recent construction.

We began with foot patrol in town & engagement at our Community Beat Surgery at the Witham Hub. Mobile patrols meant more chances to show the lights and sirens to excited children on Haygreen Road. Speed checks on Spa Road led to 17 warnings and 2 drivers reported for speeding.

This week has seen an increased presence in the town centre in the evenings to prevent anti-social behaviour around the library. I carried out mobile patrols visiting the Whetmead Nature Reserve and investigated damage at the derelict flats at Dorothy Sayers Drive. #YouSaidWeDid

Visibile patrols in #Witham, included collecting evidence for a recent shoplifting investigation. I was available for residents to talk with me at the Newlands Precinct & helped an elderly couple with a fraud. Emergency incident where my local knowledge assisted the team.

Great engagment shift this weekend with foot patrols throughout the town and running the Community Beat Surgery. I received information about suspicious vehicles, provided on the spot advice and I was able to coordinate with my collegues to seize a vehicle. #YouSaidWeDId

Witham CSC Officer Penrose is making an impact on road safety around town with targeted speed checks, insurance checks, drivers using their mobile phones & damaged or faulty lights on vehicles. The actions support Vision Zero & #Fatal4 to prevent & reduce deaths on our roads.

A busy day! Traffic control for burst water main on Rickstones Road, followed by foot patrol in town. Visited stores to provide advice on shoplifting suspects. On my beat I dealt with an assault, took intel reports & attended a medical emergency at nearby restaurant. #MyOtherLife
