EREF joins 75+ partners from civil society and business: no further weakening or delay of ETS2. The EU must ensure ambitious, on-time implementation of the Emissions Trading System for road transport and buildings. 1/4

Cross-border PPAs also remain underdeveloped. Further harmonisation of Guarantees of Origin, clearer risk allocation & more predictable network cost treatment are essential to make the internal market work in practice. 3/4

⚡ EREF has submitted its contribution to the European Commission’s consultation on upcoming PPA Guidance. PPAs are indispensable tools to accelerate renewables deployment, mobilise private capital and provide long-term price stability. 1/4

This week, EREF hosted its Board & Policy Meeting in Brussels alongside our traditional Policy Dinner, bringing together EREF members, national renewables experts & EU decision-makers. Discussions focused on scaling renewables towards a competitive & affordable energy system. 1/4
