Trust in dust (data). A new USGS data release from Southwest Biological Science Center provides a decade of detailed meteorological observations collected through a network of CLIM-MET stations near Canyonlands National Park. These stations monitor the physical and chemical interactions between the atmosphere and the ground, measuring how wind, sunlight, and moisture move dust across the landscape. Understanding dust movement is important for managing public infrastructure and safety. Meet Eva 🏜️ She's a PhD student in Eco-Informatics, working with Dr. Kiona Ogle. Her research applies Bayesian statistical methods to model the distributions of C3 and C4 grass species and their environmental drivers across National Parks. Website: eva-deegan.github.io
