The Living Daylights was a great start. Licence to Kill was a disappointment. But Dalton definitely deserved another Bond film.

The Spy Who Loved Me has the best pre titles opening sequence, the best Bond song, the best Bond girl, the best Bond car and the best villain. Roger Moore’s best Bond film, and my favourite.

It’s a shame Better Man didn’t connect with audiences. The choice to portray Robbie Williams as a chimp confused many viewers and hurt the film’s promotion, even though it’s essential to the story it tells. One of the last great movie musicals.
