@NickStevensHS Have to respectfully disagree. Stripes kit is a nice nod to the 94 kit and 2012 kit. Both are WAY better than the awful 2022 kits!

Those striped kits for Team USA at the World Cup are awful. They look like Nike candy canes. The stars kit is pretty good though.

@NickStevensHS For the past 2 years none of our basketball/baseball kids have gotten to scrimmage baseball & we also had to delay start of baseball season (& we lost 1st rd of basketball playoffs)…even worse for schools where basketball advances multiple rounds. Something needs to adjust.

The Rocky River Conference is asking the NCHSAA to reduce the number of weeks in the basketball season and increase the number of weeks in the baseball season for the 2026-2027 school year.

@NickStevensHS Spring sports have gotten the shaft for years, especially the past 2 yrs as basketball was extended an extra week. Severely impacts small schools (now 1A-3A & some 4A) where you must share most of your athletes to compete in all sports! No reason spring should be 9 weeks/bball 13

A catcher hitting 60 home runs is an amazing narrative. But here’s another: In July, it looked like Aaron Judge might need surgery. The Yankees were preparing to sell off players in a worst case scenario, according to @martinonyc. Bellinger, Grisham, Williams all could’ve been gone. They wouldn’t have added Bednar, McMahon, etc. Judge is so valuable that the Yankees considered raising the white flag on their season if he couldn’t play. Now they prepare for Game 162 with a chance to win the division.

@BenVerlander Except there’s also a guy NOT named Cal Raleigh who leads in nearly every major offensive category…who has been intentionally walked 36 times (most in a season in AL history). Raleigh has been amazing but he’s been the 2nd best player in the AL this year. Aaron Judge is MVP!

Cal Raleigh hit his 60th HR of the season on the same night the Seattle Mariners won their first division title since 2001. There’s not a world in which this man isn’t the Most Valuable Player. It’s over. That’s a wrap. Big Dumper is your 2025 AL MVP.

My favorite quote about the MVP race continues to be “if you dropped Cal Raleigh’s OPS by 180 points, he’d be average; if you dropped Aaron Judge’s OPS by 180 points, he’d be Cal Raleigh”

The AL MVP race is going to be awesome coming down to the last few weeks. Cal Raleigh (6.0 WAR as a S/H catcher; leading league w/ 54 HR, 115 RBI) and Aaron Judge (8.1 WAR, leading league in Runs, BB, Avg, OBP, Slg, OPS) are both worthy! Love them both, amazing for baseball!!
