➡️PSA #1: “SPED kids” are “Gen. Ed kids” first. Just because a student has an IEP does not mean we stop problem solving on how to reach them in Tier 1 and 2 first. The end goal is for the student to no longer need special education services. The only way this happens is when the student receives solid Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 instruction every single day. ➡️PSA #2: Kids who have an IEP are not “SPED Kids.” They are students who have a disability. How we describe our students matters.
