New ESPEN-Endorsed Recommendation Published We are pleased to share a new open access ESPEN-endorsed recommendation published in Clinical Nutrition: “Sarcopenic obesity: Call to action and nutritional agenda from the international clinical nutrition community” Sarcopenic obesity, defined as obesity with low skeletal muscle function and mass, is increasingly recognized as an important clinical nutrition priority. This international statement highlights the need for coordinated action in research, education and clinical practice, with a strong focus on diagnosis, prevention, nutritional care and multimodal treatment approaches. The publication also emphasizes the key role of nutrition and exercise in reducing the burden of sarcopenic obesity and improving outcomes for people living with obesity worldwide.
