I’m disappointed that Scottie Barnes didn’t get more love for the All NBA teams, but really I think if you’re Scottie the next evolution and way to get recognized is with the raw numbers going up across the board. These voters don’t understand the impact he has on games and it’s not some secret that they don’t watch Raptors games. You have to watch the Raptors to understand that Scottie is one of the top 15 players in the world and the weight that he shoulders on both ends. It sucks, but this is why I think the postseason was really good for Scottie and for what I expect of him moving forward because as the raw counting stats went up the national media and recognition comes with it. More importantly when Scottie’s raw counting stats go up they’re not empty stats as we saw in the playoffs it’s needed for the team to win so I’m confident that this playoff series opened his eyes that he has to do that for this team to win. That’s all Scottie cares about is winning. This team needs you to be that level of aggressive on O at all times @ScottBarnes561

Scottie Barnes sacrificed a lot of counting stats in favour of doing literally whatever the hell the Raptors needed on a game by game basis and that sucks for him. Yes, if you watch the Raptors, it’s clear how imperative he is. But you can’t count on that with All-NBA voting. He needs to have a bigger offensive role next season. Full stop. Toronto is better when he’s more involved offensively

I go back and forth on this over and over about what Cleveland should do this offseason. I keep going back to that Giannis and Evan Mobley swap that was rumoured. Cleveland has backed themselves into this corner and while I don’t think I’d personally trade Mobley, Cleveland has picked Mitchell it feels like. The right thing otherwise would be to trade Mitchell and completely reset, but that Harden trade has clearly shown they’re all into this Mitchell led era. So granted that’s the direction and what they’ve picked just go ahead and make the Giannis trade. Call up the Lakers to make this a 3 team deal Milwaukee - Evan Mobley, Lakers 2026 first, Cleveland 2028 first, and one of those Cleveland firsts in the 2030s Cleveland - Giannis Antetokounmpo, Myles Turner Lakers - Jarrett Allen Very rough framework, but yeah I don’t really know what else Cleveland can do from here
