Just in- No results in North Carolina will post until at least 8:30 pm. The NCSBE voted unanimously to extend voting hours at the Littleton United Methodist Church precinct in Littleton, Halifax County. Per NCSBE, the voting site for this precinct was delayed in opening on Election Day morning due to a synchronization issue with electronic poll books and backup procedures were not immediately employed. Election officials cannot release results while voting is underway. So the State Board will not publish any unofficial results statewide until all polls are closed. Outside of this precinct, polls in NC close at 7:30 pm Minor issues like this typically happen every election. Not unusual.
