@Intl_Parents And it is only peer-to-peer bullying. What our own @Intl_Parents research and personal experiences show is that bullying by teachers happens to even more children.

23% of students report being bullied at least a few times per month (OECD PISA). Bullying reflects dynamics across the education ecosystem (students, staff, families, community). Professional educators can build skills to recognise and address it: school-education.ec.europa.eu/en/learn/cours…

10 years of research, training development and delivery, coaching and mentoring, and advocacy in one of the key topics we've worked on in @Intl_Parents in one great infographic. This is why you need a brilliant comms person like the one we have.

Parental engagement is built, not wished for: listening, trust, shared decision-making, inclusion, and routines that last. Full article: parentsinternational.org/parental-engag…

Do we still need live teachers in the times of robots and AI? - I'm giving a keynote at a robotics and AI conference today. I've heard keynotes pointing at the bigger picture or often overlooked circumstances. This is what I'm going to do @Intl_Parents introb-fair.inf.elte.hu/venueprogram

Our @PARTICIPATE_EU colleague Dagmar Strohmeier talking at #WABF about one of the root causes of peer bullying, being bullied by a teacher to a mainly peer bullying focused crowed highlighting how important the research we're doing with @LaszloLuca in @Intl_Parents is

What should we do if the education ecosystem is broken, and children's educators, especially the primary ones, parents, and teacher cannot talk to each other? We could offer a teaser of our @Intl_Parents research on this today.

Our #DRONE presentation received very positive feedback. The need for teachers' personal (and not teaching) skills and competences development was echoed by others as well as the fact that currently it is the parents who are the competent educators in digital literacy domains.

Nearly 3 years after the last ERNAPE Conference, we are spending the next 3 days in Verona with 3 members of my @Intl_Parents team to present new work we've done on parents - 4 paper presentations. We're looking forward to meeting fellow researchers again. ernape.org/2025-verona-pr…

Although @Intl_Parents doesn't support legislation that doesn't build on trust between parents and children, this would mean better access if it ensures no minimum age pushed by companies. 80% of 10-12 y are already on with the consent of their parents. politico.eu/article/eu-chi…

@TonyDal49796178 You are totally right. But this is a healthy lifestyle project, and I was already happy to see that most people were not pro bans or going for obligatory school activities. And they were all brainstorming about activities in home-school collaboration although it wasn't the topic.

@ESalamon @BioStreams_EU Time to turn belief into practice..theories without practice are like maps without roads and the are lots of schools, leaders and teachers wandering aimlessly and without intention to turn their beliefs about parents into action

A great @BioStreams_EU workshop today in Düsseldorf made it clear that most school leaders still believe in education and role modelling rather than bans and making things compulsory. And that they believe in the primary educator role of parents.

An incredibly beautiful account of our recent trip to and training in Uganda. I love to see and share about the multiple talents of my team members. The author is a fantastic trainer, our comms officer - and a poet as it is obvious from this report. #lovemyjob

What does it mean to have an international network. You link people from two countries one of which is a white spot in your own network through making a link through existing connections in two other countries within 2 hours. #lovemyjob #powerofnetworks

Binge-watched #Adolescence in a long flight. I hope the police procedures in the UK are not like this in reality. Lots of food for thought, not only this element.

This photo, made by one of my @Intl_Parents colleagues at a teacher training adds an interesting supernatural dimension to the notion of hard-to-reach parents. And - in a far less funny sense - warns us to always consider grave reasons for their absence from school.
