The light across the walkway would turn green, leaving the border collie to lead the way again. He couldn't help but let out a little chortle of a laugh. "Nah, no I guess that ain't that nefarious." It took everything for the little dog to calm himself from his laughter.

Neil scoffed, couldn't help but get a little bit of a chuckle as he stopped at the first cross walk. There might not have been anything coming, but lick always has a way of going south, fast. "That almost sounds a bit on the nefarious side lieutenant." He'd smirk, looking back

"Well alright. Lemme lead the way then. It's just around the corner." Neil would hop off of the crate, tail still wagging slowly behind him as he rests his hands in his lounge pants pockets. His pace was unhurried, casual, like he was walking around during the day.

"Sir yes sir. Ain't gotta let me know twice." He would say, seeming relaxed and composed as he looked the Lieutenant once over. Something about the soldier caught his eye, but he couldn't place exactly what is was. He shrugged it off, putting his cig out on the crate's side.

The few people that did walk around at night, seemed to be avoiding Skia, which in turn, meant they were ignoring Neil as well. "See? Never hurts to be kind to a man in uniform." He said, pulling one let up to rest his foot on top of the crate with him, head laid on his knee.

"Oh no doubt, this ain't exactly the safest part of town. Though I felt safe with an army man at my side." He'd grin around the butt of his cig, chuckling softly as he glanced over to Skia from the corner of his eyes. His tail was even wagging, seems he was enjoying himself.

"Insomnia, thought a walk through the city would be nice. Was about to light one up when I saw yours was out of commission." He would say, before plucking the cancer stick from his lips. He'd dab the ashes away to his left, before planting it between his lips once more.

"Yeah, this late into the night, you're not gonna find a whole lotta trouble. Some might think of starting some, but they're too skittish with the military camped out here." He would say as he blows a heavy plume to his left, keeping his smoke away from Skia. At least he was -

"Neil. And I take it you're one of the military personnel runnin' around tonight?" The border collie would pull himself to sit up on top of a crate, his height closer to the other canine's now. As small as he was, definitely didn't look like he needed to smoke, to each their -

"Never hurts to lend a helping hand from time to time. Figured I'd do my good deed for the day." He smirked as he lit his own ciggy, planting it right between those pierced lips of his. A couple of gentle drags, and he'd push some smoke out and away from the other canine.

*Flick* The click of a lighter can be heard, metallic, satisfying. The small flame was bright, as a rather small hand was the one holding the base. "Need a light, man?" He would ask.
