A brand like ETHYST® would be killer in a marketplace like this, but would it actually be considered if you already own a competing skincare brand? I think that’s where clarity matters. If brands are being “certified” or selected based on internal criteria, people should understand what that criteria is, who reviews it, and whether direct competitors are evaluated fairly. Otherwise it’s not really certification. It’s curation.

A few years ago, I had a scare with basal cell carcinoma. Skin cancer. Thankfully, it was promptly dealt with...doing fine now! But it made me incredibly conscious of what I put on my skin. I go for checkups every six months and at my last appointment....my dermatologist leaned back from his microscope and asked, 'What have you been using on your skin? It looks GREAT.'
