During the negotiations, South African and West African teams won top honors for their proposals. This program, which enhances our students’ analytical thinking and public speaking skills, enables them to take ownership of their continent as the leaders of tomorrow. 🇹🇷🤝🌍

Our delegates addressed the role of women, youth, and families in education, leadership, and reparative justice, developing policy solutions and presenting them to the African Union.

Africa’s future is being shaped by the vision of its own youth. 🌍 As the Turkish Maarif Foundation, we brought together 150 students representing Africa’s six regions at the 4th Maarif Model African Union (MMAU), held at the African Union Headquarters.

Türkiye Maarif Vakfı olarak Etiyopya’da, Afrika Birliği’nin genel merkezinde çok özel bir buluşmaya ev sahipliği yaptık. Bu yıl dördüncüsünü düzenlediğimiz "Maarif Model African Union" (MMAU), aslında gençler için kurgulanmış bir diplomasi ve liderlik platformu. Peki, bu programda tam olarak ne yapılıyor? Farklı bölgelerden gelen 150 öğrencimiz, birer delege gibi sorumluluk alarak kıtanın özgün meselelerini masaya yatırıyor. Kız çocuklarının eğitiminden dijital girişimciliğe kadar pek çok kritik başlıkta çözüm önerileri geliştiriyor ve bu önerileri bir sonuç bildirgesiyle doğrudan Afrika Birliği’ne sunuyorlar. Bu yılki müzakerelerde Güney Afrika ve Batı Afrika ekiplerinin hazırladığı projeler en iyi tasarılar seçilerek büyük takdir topladı. Our program, honored by the presence of H.E. Berk Baran, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Addis Ababa, turned into a true festival with vibrant performances, lively folk dances, and exciting competitions.

We celebrated the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day with great enthusiasm and pride together with our children, the most precious guarantee of our future!

From electronics and robotics to artificial intelligence, and from agricultural technologies to environment and sustainability, students showcased a wide range of projects inspired by their local needs.

🏆 At Science Fest Africa, 126 projects from Maarif Schools across 27 African countries competed alongside 50 projects from local schools in Côte d'Ivoire, bringing a total of 176 innovative solutions to the international stage.
