🧵"Entering into force" means the directive is officially EU law. ✋But companies won't need to comply just yet #CSDDD kicks in gradually. The timeline based on company size starts3⃣years after it takes effect (around 2027).

⚠️ Instead of relieving companies unduly delaying sectoral standards will only reduce clarity for companies to deliver on their reporting. This is particularly true for companies that have never performed a materiality assessment or that will start reporting sustainability info.

🇪🇺 Although we regret the decision to delay by 2⃣ years, we welcome the precision of the mandate for the @EU_Commission to adopt 8⃣ of the sustainability standards “as soon as each is ready”, or at the latest by 2026.
