♻️ A zero-waste future starts long before the kitchen. 🥔 In Europe’s potato processing sector, a circular approach ensures that almost nothing goes to waste. 98.5% of every potato is fully utilised, with by-products redirected into other useful streams. #ZeroWasteDay

💧Ahead of the #WorldWaterDay, potato processors are taking steps to make every drop count: Water is reused and recycled throughout processing cycles, while maintaining strict food safety standards, and wastewater is carefully treated before being returned to the environment.

One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of the EU #AgriculturalOutlook 2025–2035. According to the report, integrated supply chains are essential to stabilise farm incomes, retain value in Europe and respond to environmental and consumer expectations. 2/3

🤝EUPPA welcomes the political agreement on the proposal for New Genomic Techniques (#NGTs), marking an important step forward after years of discussion. EUPPA joined 25 other European associations in co-signing a joint letter calling for the safe and responsible use of NGTs.
