🇺🇿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿Before Manchester City, Abdukodir Khusanov was almost lost in Uzbekistan’s youth system. At 15, a growth-related knee condition forced him out of the national youth team for several months. When he returned, everything changed: captain’s armband, new position, new path. From midfielder to centre-back — and eventually to the Premier League. Read more: eurasia.football/en/uzbekistan/…

🇺🇿 Andrey Pyatnitsky — a former Spartak Moscow and Pakhtakor midfielder, born in Tashkent and a 1994 World Cup player — on Anvar Khodzhimirzaev: “He can decide a match on his own. If the World Cup had been last year, I’d have had no doubt he would be taken. Even in poor form, he can decide a game with one action.” Full interview on Eurasia Football: eurasia.football/en/articles-en…

Russian striker Vladislav Nabatov who plays for Uzbek 2nd tier side Gazalkent is off to Argentina to train with @SanLorenzo. The club heavily backed by a prominent Uzbek football agent(agent for Khusanov, Alikulov etc) is clearly flexing their connections to get opportunities.

🇺🇿🇹🇯🇹🇲🇰🇬The AFC has published the country slot allocation for the 2026/27 club competitions. But the final list may still change after club licensing and possible slot redistribution. That happened last season in the AFC Challenge League: unused places were reallocated, and Kyrgyzstan eventually received an additional slot. A similar scenario could theoretically open extra opportunities for Central Asian clubs again — including Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

🇺🇿🇲🇪 Montenegrin forward Matija Krivokapić scored twice to give “Bunyodkor” a comeback win over “Navbahor” in the Uzbek Super League. He now has 4 goals and 2 assists in 10 league games — the club’s top scorer this season. 🇰🇬 Could Kyrgyzstan’s new champions Bars reach the AFC Challenge League? The Karakol club won the Zhogorku League in its debut season, but AFC’s two-year licensing rule may become the real test. The comparison is obvious: Turkmenistan’s Arkadag already showed how a new politically backed club can move from creation to continental success very fast. 🇰🇬 Possibly the best goal of the first half of the Kyrgyz Premier League season. Dordoi forward Ernist Batyrkanov scored the winner against Talant — 2-1. And it was the kind of goal that deserves a replay.
