Last week, we successfully organised a workshop for researchers and policy makers across Europe to disseminate best practices on the implementation of cancer screening programmes. @gacd_media @HorizonEU

During the first day of the workshop, participants were also informed and provided with tools for monitoring and evaluation for cancer screening programmes. #EUTOPIAEAST

The workshop was opened by Harry de Koning, Professor of Public Health and Screening Evaluation, ErasmusMC, The Netherlands. Followed by remarks from Slovenian Ministry of Health, the EU, and the WHO.

Our consortium members have been working together to optimize the implementation of breast cancer screening in Georgia. 🇬🇪

One of the goals in establishing a new cancer screening center is to address capacity issues, especially for implementing breast cancer screening in Georgia. Mammography screening has been offered since 2008 in Georgia, however the participation is still around 10%.

A new cancer screening centre has been opened in Georgia with the support from the EU-TOPIA-EAST project. 🇬🇪 #cancerscreening #georgia

This workshop will be aimed at key elements of screening: monitoring, evaluation, and barriers. Various sessions will be held including lectures, discussions, networking, and tools demonstration.

Do you remember the workshops that we organized during the previous EU-TOPIA project? Now, within the EU-TOPIA-EAST project, a workshop is planned to be held in Slovenia on November 20th and 21st 2023.
