Our Sec. General moderated a most panel “Gas Turbines Pathway to Decarbonization” – at the decarbonisation hub, focusing on the key role of these turbines in the decarbonised energy system of the future. An interesting and lively exchange!

The path towards decarbonisation led us to Paris, for #EnlitEurope. We shared a message: our technology will continue to have a purpose. Turbines are grid supplements during renewable downtimes & pivotal enablers of the transition and integration of renewable energy sources.

The European Parliament voted on a position for the #NetZero Industry Act. Sadly, the approach lists single technologies as “net-zero” instead of equally supporting all that contribute to climate-neutrality. Fair competition & resilience shouldn't lead to a protectionist policy.

Whilst advocating for a flexible and decarbonised future, we urge EU institutions to support an integrated energy system, level playing field for flexibility, and clear long-term investment signals. 🙌 Joint statement 👉bit.ly/3ucdIrw #EMD #SystemIntegration
