On 26-27 March, HR/VP @kajakallas participated in the G7 Foreign Affairs Ministers' Meeting. The working sessions focused on global governance, cross-cutting threats, and peace and security, as well as the two major issues: the wars in the Middle East and in Ukraine.

On 26 and 27 March, the HR/VP @kajakallas will attend the G7 Foreign Affairs Ministers’ Meeting in Abbaye des Vaux de Cernay, France. The meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss a number of topical foreign policy issues, as well as pressing global economic and security challenges, including cross-cutting threats, global governance and reconstruction. #Israel: Statement by the Spokesperson on the Death Penalty Bill The Death Penalty Bill approved by the security committee of the Israeli Parliament is deeply concerning. The European Union opposes capital punishment in all cases and under all circumstances.

On Belarus Freedom Day, we reaffirm the EU’s solidarity with the people of Belarus.  Belarusians mark the 1918 declaration of independence and their enduring aspiration for a free and democratic country.  The EU will continue to support a democratic, sovereign and independent Belarus.
