EUMA monitors from Goris were proud to participate in the EU Day fair held on 2⃣3⃣ May in Goris. The monitors introduced EUMA’s mandate and equipment and engaged in discussions with local residents. A big thank you to the people of Goris for your hospitality and support. EUMA remains committed to peace and stability in the region 🇪🇺🇦🇲. Գորիսում տեղակայված Հայաստանում Եվրոպական Միության առաքելության (ՀԵՄԱ) դիտորդները սիրով մասնակցեցին մայիսի 23-ին Գորիսում կայացած ԵՄ օրվան նվիրված միջոցառմանը: Դիտորդները ներկայացրին ՀԵՄԱ-ի մանդատը և սարքավորումները, ինչպես նաև քննարկումներ ծավալեցին տեղի բնակիչների հետ։ Մենք շնորհակալություն ենք հայտնում Գորիսի բնակիչներին հյուրընկալության և աջակցության համար: ՀԵՄԱ-ն շարունակում է հանձնառու լինել տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության և կայունության խթանմանը:

Head of Mission @s_koivu participated together with @EU_Armenia and Ambassador of 🇧🇬 @nikolov_ni21415 in events dedicated to Europe Day in Goris. The Head of Mission took part in a panel discussion at Goris State University, discussed the development challenges facing Goris and the Syunik region with civil society organisations, and finally baked zhingyalov hats and gata at Winnet’s Elderly Center. A big thank you🙏to the students and civil society organisations for their hospitality and warm welcome. Special thanks to the members of Winnet’s Elderly Center for their energy and optimism🙏🇪🇺🇦🇲!

Head of Mission @s_koivu delivered a lecture on 2⃣0⃣.May at Eurasia International University on the mandate and activities of EUMA. Students of international relations from American University of Armenia, @YSU_official, IB Ohanyan School, and @stonehill_info (USA) participated in the lecture. Many thanks to the students from 🇦🇲,🇳🇬 and🇺🇸 for the insightful discussions, and to the UNESCO Chair in Justice and Good Governance for Sustainable Peace and Development for organizing the event🙏🇪🇺🇦🇲.

On 15 May, EUMA Deputy Head of Mission Mr. Marek Kuberski attended a Youth Forum 👩‍💻🧑🏻‍💻in Dilijan within the framework of the Europe Day🇪🇺celebration events. During the event he presented EUMA’s activities to the participants. The Mission’s monitors also took part in the Youth Forum by displaying the patrol vehicles outside the venue. Yesterday, we were pleased to welcome a Finnish delegation representing several prominent organisations in the field of Comprehensive Security. During the visit, the guests were introduced to EUMA’s mandate and ongoing activities. 🇪🇺 🇦🇲 Finland currently contributes 7 experts to the Mission. Thank you Finland for your valuable partnership! 🇫🇮

EUMA field office in Goris held its first Civil Society Talk for 2026. This is an ongoing effort to strengthen relationship between the Mission and the Armenian interlocutors in border communities and to foster mutual understanding and partnership. 🇪🇺🤝🇦🇲 The event brought together over a dozen interlocutors from the Syunik region, including the Honorary Consul of France, as well as representatives from the education sector and medical field. The discussion provided both an opportunity for attendees to learn more about the Mission’s mandate and work in Goris but also for EUMA to better understand the human security challenges impacting people in the region.🗣️ EUMA will continue to advance efforts to reach diverse interlocutors across Armenia.😊🙌

On 8⃣ and 9⃣ May, #EUMA colleagues organised 🇪🇺 Day events in their area of operations. The team in Martuni visited the Vardenis Medical College🧑‍⚕️ where the students were introduced to the Mission’s activities and daily life of the monitors. In Kapan, our colleagues welcomed teachers from the European University branch in Kapan for coffee and discussions about the Mission, EU values and possible future collaborations.🤝 Thank you to all participants for the fruitful engagements!🤩

Last week, our team from Yeghegnadzor visited a school in Lusashogh village.🧑‍🏫 The students were introduced to the Mission’s work on the ground and monitor’s daily life in Armenia.🇪🇺🇦🇲 Thank you for the warm hospitality and engaging discussions!🌞

On 1⃣0⃣ May, we celebrated Europe Day in Yerevan together with @EU_Armenia and the embassies of 🇪🇺 member states. Deputy Head of Mission Marek Kuberski, along with monitors from EUMA bases in Yeghegnadzor and Martuni, introduced EUMA’s mandate, activities, and equipment to visitors. EUMA also took part in an online meeting with participants from Brussels. Proud to stand for peace and stability in the region 🇪🇺🇦🇲. Մայիսի 10-ին մենք նշեցինք Եվրոպայի օրը Երևանում՝ Հայաստանում ԵՄ պատվիրակության և ԵՄ անդամ պետությունների դեսպանատների հետ համատեղ: ՀԵՄԱ/Հայաստանում Եվրոպական Միության առաքելության ղեկավարի տեղակալ Մարեկ Կուբերսկին, Եղեգնաձորում և Մարտունիում տեղակայված առաքելության դիտորդական բազաների անձնակազմի հետ միասին, այցելուներին ներկայացրեցին ՀԵՄԱ-ի մանդատը, գործունեությունը և սարքավորումները: ՀԵՄԱ-ն նաև մասնակցեց Բրյուսելի մասնակիցների հետ առցանց հանդիպմանը: Մենք հպարտ ենք, որ աջակցում ենք տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության ու կայունության ապահովմանը:

On 7 May, EUMA Latvian mission members had the honour of meeting with the Latvian President H.E. @edgarsrinkevics. 🇱🇻 During the meeting Latvian contingent discussed the Mission's mandate and activities. On 7 May, HoM @s_koivu hosted the President of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives, @PeterDeRoover1 during a patrol with EUMA monitors. 🤝 Mr. De Roover expressed his appreciation for the important work carried out by EUMA and thanked HoM, the 🇧🇪 contingent, and all Mission members for their dedicated service and commitment. Currently, 5⃣ Belgians are deployed to EUMA.🇪🇺🇦🇲 @BelgiumArmenia

Delighted to celebrate EU Day with the people of Yeghegnadzor. We demonstrated EUMA’s vehicles and equipment, enjoyed a performance by Margaryan Dance Studio, and explored the goods of local artists and businesses. “We have received tremendous support from the local community. Thank you, people of Yeghegnadzor, for your kindness and generosity,” said HoM @s_koivu in her speech. EUMA remains committed to peace and stability in the region 🇪🇺🇦🇲. Մենք մեծ ոգևորությամբ նշեցինք ԵՄ օրը Եղեգնաձորի բնակիչների հետ։ Մենք ցուցադրեցինք ՀԵՄԱ-ի տրանսպորտային միջոցներն ու սարքավորումները, վայելեցինք Margaryan Dance Studio պարային խմբի ելույթը և ուսումնասիրեցինք տեղի վարպետների և արտադրողների կողմից ներկայացված գործերը։ «Մենք հսկայական աջակցություն ենք ստացել տեղական համայնքից։ Շնորհակալություն, Եղեգնաձորի բնակիչներ, Ձեր բարության և առատաձեռնության համար», - իր ելույթում նշեց ՀԵՄԱ-ի առաքելության ղեկավար Սատու Կոյվուն։ ՀԵՄԱ-ն շարունակում է հավատարիմ մնալ տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության և կայունության աջակցմանը։

Last week, EUMA had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from the Young Diplomats Association at the @DutchMFA. 🇳🇱 During their visit, they were introduced to the Mission’s mandate and activities, followed by a lively discussion. Currently, 1⃣2⃣ Dutch mission members are deployed to EUMA. 🇪🇺🇦🇲Thank you for your support @NLinArmenia! 🤝
