@southside_mafs This makes less sense than having golden toilet paper. No religion claims that belief in a religion is necessary for morality. Religion claims that their creators are the CAUSE of morality. If you had a better processing speed than a moth, you’d understand that.

I repeat if you need religion to have morals you’re a bad person.

@EVGamesRoblox @Klugengem @kirawontmiss In a scientific context those terms aren’t used often and they’re not competing terms. Pushing a framing that they’re separate with one potentially being false was exactly the goal of the creationist groups when spreading the talking points to lay people.

I kinda don’t know if this is meant to be a failed comments crash course.

You’ve already been tricked into believing there’s some sort of divide in the science community about micro and macro evolution. There isn’t one at all, it’s a global consensus

@FactsMatterPpl @Klugengem @kirawontmiss Also, there’s little to no debate scientifically over what Micro and Macro evolution is. So while I appreciate the kindness when saying I’m not at fault for my understanding, there’s no confusion on this side of the table!

@FactsMatterPpl @Klugengem @kirawontmiss Well to be completely honest with you I don’t follow any specific institutions for information. That’s how confirmation bias is started. I pull from as many sources as I can and use my logical God given mind to discern which seems more likely.

@FactsMatterPpl @Klugengem @kirawontmiss I should be more specific when saying that essentially Macro evolution is just Micro evolution at a higher frequency. The only separate ideology is the frequency at which it happens.

@EVGamesRoblox @Klugengem @kirawontmiss Evolution doesn’t attempt to explain the origin, that’s abiogenesis which is related but not the same. “Micro evolution” is a creationist talking point that was designed to muddy the waters about how biological evolution is fact. Pinpointing when we first got souls gets weird.

@FactsMatterPpl @Klugengem @kirawontmiss I just think it’s more logical to believe that micro evolutionism is what really happens. But then when you take macro evolution into context it still never directly contradicts the idea that we may have come from an intelligent mind.

@Klugengem @kirawontmiss So what in the world (no pun intended) do you assume it could be? What does it seem like to you besides an intelligent mind. It’s like saying our vehicles could have just appeared once upon a time. By that logic, nothing that functions meticulously needed though to be created.

@EVGamesRoblox @kirawontmiss well the big bang isn’t certainly a beginning, the universe could exist eternally, or our universe could stem from a larger structure, i don’t even rule out it just arising by itself, even if it must have originated from something timeless and spaceless that isn’t necessarily god

@Klugengem @kirawontmiss The logic is that everything that has a point of creation (a beginning) MUST have a cause and MUST have a creator at its root. That’s how we figure out reproduction and evolution (MICRO). If God is eternal and doesn’t have a point of creation then its sure to say it’s unnecessary

@Klugengem @kirawontmiss Not if he’s Eternal and outside of time. The relevance of science is to show the origin of everything, so why would we come to a mathematical misnomer that says we can root back all of creation to a hierarchical structure that goes all the way back to the big bang but then stop.

@kirawontmiss When you use common sense you figure out that everything that has a beginning has a creator (something/someone that created it). Is it not more logical to think that an eternal God that’s existent without space-time could’ve created the cause of something within space-time?

@kirawontmiss These comments are honestly funny to me. To believe that there isn’t a logical and rational mind behind all creation is such a slippery slope to study. Imagine having to go so far back with “what created this” that you run out of options when you get to some big miracle explosion
