A weakness creates RPS. Tekken has its own logic and is not exempt from RPS. Its calculated gambles not random

Tekken is (traditionally) the only mainstream fighting game that doesn't play into an arbitrary triangle system, and much more closely resembles real world combat strategy. Like, actual strategy that's been studied for millennia, not the vibes-based video game kind

@EVRAAAAAAAAAAAA @unijorse no you simply dont have an argument. But its ok. If you think tekken was ever above RPS. You never fundamentally understood fighting games. Stratergy and RPS are intertwined because what you intend to do is not 100 certain and has a weakness.

Movement avoids attacks (whiffs).
Approach/timing beats movement.
Preemptive attacks catch approach.
Block beats unsafe attacks.
KBD doesnt disprove RPS
You cant escape RPS if there is a counter. No counter is just an exploit

@unijorse VF and DoA has a RPS system, tekken doesn't. Tekken throws are very easy to react at a certain level and it doesn't track, either. The RPS triangle is basically broken in Tekken in profit of movement and free string mixes. One thing doesn't counter the other effectively

VF and DOA communities don't need to sell themselves to Tekken players. The energy is better spent building up people who genuinely love these games for what they are.

I dont think that enough people understand that the reason i have always liked VF was because it feels like a choreographed kung fu movie when played with 2 people at an equal level. Not many games are as hype when neither side lands what they are going for.
