EVWK senior salute day 1 #MSHSLSeniorSalute I will miss having Derek Utecht as my right-hand man and second pair of eyes at the pole vault. Derek was extremely humble, driven, and coachable. I started coaching when Derek was an eighth-grader.

EVWK senior salute day 2 #MSHSLSeniorSalute Allie always put in the work and brought a positive attitude to practices and meets. Allie was a force in the 300 hurdles and ran a variety of 200 and 400 meter races and relays.

EVWK senior salute day 2 #MSHSLSeniorSalute Track and field is very much a team sport- Jaylah understood that. The relationships she formed and the support she gave her teammates were sincere and impactful. Jaylah’s focus and persistence were present at meets and practices.

EVWK senior salute day 3 #MSHSLSeniorSalute Olivia Kuechle is a gifted athlete full of fire, determination, and compassion. A quiet leader, she always led by example and encouraged her teammates to always work hard. She always competed with grit and fierceness.

EVWK senior salute day 3 #MSHSLSeniorSalute Sawyer Kuechle joined the program in her junior year. She had a list of questions when she was nervously talking with me about joining, but I assured her I would help along the way and that she would figure things out.
