While Stanley Kubrick was filming this scene in 'The Shining' (1980), Werner Herzog visited the set to ask Jack Nicholson about starring in 'Fitzcarraldo' (1982). At that time, Herzog found Kubrick being very concerned that the sound of Danny’s trike going over the hardwood floors & the carpet back & forth didn't sound good.
