I have been advised regarding the arrest of demonstrators yesterday at @CityofBulawayo City Hall. It is important that the public knows that BCC management did not ask that these demonstrators be arrested and when they were we made it very clear to ZRP that we would not be laying charges, which led to their release. We recognize residents’ constitutional right to demonstrate peacefully and will do all in our power to address their grievances.

A man arrested by Njube Police is allegedly to have committed suicide inside police holding cells. Sources within the force say the man detained for domestic dispute used a torn blanket to hang himself. There are more questions than answers on why, what & how it happened
