Arrowhead can revolutionize melee combat in helldivers 2 by giving a basic melee swing to the fire button, a heavy attack to the "melee button" and if you press both you get a special attack.

Attention, Helldivers. A hotfix is planned for Wednesday, May 6. This will revert the Hive Guard and fix an issue introduced in Patch 6.2.1 where armor values were incorrectly swapped between the Legs and Claws. Updated Hive Guard stats: Main Body - Armor increased from 1 → 2 - Health increased from 375 → 500 Head - Armor decreased from 4 → 3 Front Legs - Armor increased from 2 → 3 Claws - Armor decreased from 3 → 1 We are reviewing player feedback, including durability damage, so next week we will also address some of these questions and others which our founder has received in various forums. Thank you for the continued support and feedback.

If the clip only exists to showcase their armor and nothing else then it’s not disingenuous and I take back my statement.

@NecroSynthesis @JoeYain47522 This is honestly a very good point. Hive Guards showed me that shooting at its armour with small gun won’t work but big gun will work. Now it’d only work with weapons that require warbonds instead of default ones. Maybe it’ll teach newbies quicker to aim for weakpoints though.

@JoeYain47522 @Eagle1_HD2 they begin to spawn at Difficulty 2 and are pretty clearly intended to teach fresh cadets about the importance of armor penetration and how different enemies will require different penetration to kill. your starting weapons are 2 lightpen and the MG support weapon at midpen.

Y’know I can still survive in a mech against Diff10 bugs until my ammo runs out and even longer. Buffing the terminids to counter mechs more was necessary or the mechs would just be immortal. Great update in having hella fun with these speedy bugs and cool mechs.
