Step 1 in deescalation must be restraining the Israelis, otherwise all efforts to negotiate will follow this pattern: POTUS publicly announces deescalation. Israel takes major strikes to destroy the negotiations & in turn weaken our ability to negotiate. The war accelerates.

* Start war * Give 5 different reasons for war * 80% disapproval * Immediately blow up little girls school surrendering all moral high ground * Kill leadership which is immediately replaced by more radical leadership * Declare victory * Have no contingency plan for closing the straits of Hormuz * Have no clear victory conditions * Gas prices skyrocket * Economy craters * Service members killed, taxes wasted, bases blown up, no material gain for the American public * Continue declaring victory Worst war ever conducted

It’s absolutely perfect… A liberal man in NYC yelling about how everyone is welcome, as a Muslim man yells "Allahu Akbar!" and uses him as a literal springboard to throw a homemade bomb. The West’s suicidal empathy on video.

I was in the middle of saying “as a born and raised New Yorker, we welcome everyone into this city” when he threw that over my head.

@VeryBadLlama @janet_gart87502 Seems like compassion fatigue. Been there. Focus on you for a bit. It’s tough to give your clients your best when you focus on things outside of your control. Best of luck to you.

@janet_gart87502 I work with the homeless for a living. All day, every day, I work with terrified people - kids, even - who are living outside in the winter because they have been priced out of basic necessities, and I have fewer and fewer options to give them. I care about what happens to them.

We're at a point where there are no cheap options to retreat to and no price points that guarantee quality. Every run-down studio is $1400, every fast food meal is $17, every luxury condo has peel-n-stick tiles, every $300 pair of boots falls apart. Endless expensive mediocrity.

Struggling to wrap my head around this. Tim Tebow gave Congress a map with 338,000+ unique IP addresses in the United States that have traded/shared images of children being sexually abused in the past 6 months and NOBODY is talking about it.

It still really blows my mind that: The government can confiscate 30-50% of your income every year. Use that money to create a bioweapon [like COVID]. Lock down the entire country causing widespread job loss, learning loss for children, increases in depression, suicide and domestic violence, missed cancer screenings and medical treatments, missed funerals for loved ones and far more. Print $7 TRILLION out of thin air, which destroyed 40% of our net worth as the cost of living skyrocketed for the average American and we lined the pockets of billionaires. Force people to take experimental shots that were never able to make it through traditional safety trials until an “emergency” [by demonizing perfectly safe alternative medications and censoring every medical professional who dared to suggest their efficacy and question the mainstream narrative] allowed them to scrap the safety trials and earn FDA approval [after multiple board members on the approval committee quit in protest]. Then we find out that nearly every mainstream medical professional and corporate media puppet lied to the American public about every aspect of the plandemic. Vaccine companies were given blanket immunity for the side effects of their experimental jabs while myocarditis, blood clots and many other complications continue to materialize and increase in frequency. This calamity was further used by corrupt political operatives to justify the use of mail-in ballots for the 2020 election that were, without a doubt, used to steal the election for Joe Biden, whose administration further destroyed the fabric of our society, not the least of which was by opening the border and flooding the country with over 10M illegal immigrants [among a litany of other disastrous policies]. And despite all of the above, NOT A SINGLE PERSON who was responsible for this catastrophic abuse of human rights has spent a single day in jail for this. It’s beyond preposterous. Until we get true accountability for these crimes, I have no faith in the Rule of Law or future of this country. The evidence is there. Prosecute it and pass laws so that this is never allowed to happen again.

I don’t dislike Massie, and I honestly think he has a lot going for him, especially as of late. I tend to agree with him on quite a bit. What I’m unsure of with Massie is whether or not he has the leadership capacity to mobilize the change that’s necessary. It’s not that I believe he is weak, he’s certainly not, but I’m inclined to think that the novelty of a candidate external to politics (ie. Trump 2016) could be more effective, especially with younger voters. That could be wrong, of course, it’s simply an inclination. It could be true that he’s the candidate currently best positioned for an America First agenda, I’m just not yet sold on his ability to win a national election. What are your thoughts on his capacity in that regard?

At this point, none of them. Vance is the heir apparent, and I understand the need to present a unified message — but without either: 1 - An adequate condemnation of this war or 2 - Sufficient proof that our military actions in Iran are justified and in the best interest of the American people …then I cannot in good conscience support him for the presidency. Even without this conflict, there are additional concerns with JD that many already see as disqualifying. My opinion on Vance is still developing, but the more I learn, the more unsure I’ve become. The big mistake — which is now irreversible — is that we prioritized taking a massively unpopular gamble in Iran despite running a campaign on “no new wars,” instead of following through on the risks Americans actually voted to take on our own soil, namely mass deportations. MAGA appears to have been co-opted by both neocons and the Israel lobby, though they are seemingly one and the same. I’ve seen no evidence compelling enough to change my mind — but I’m open to it. It just cuts so much deeper because I, like many of you, fought like hell for so, so long. Ten years of media lies, slander… COVID… Charlie… Living in political isolation among friends and family… Despite it all, we did it because we believed in Trump and his vision for America. Listening to clips from 2016, or even the historic 2024 campaign, now feels like a relic of a time long gone. It’s truly disheartening to watch something you once believed in so fervently slowly collapse. The real question is simple. Who will rise from the ashes? Who will actually put the American people first? If that person not only exists, but chooses to abandon a normal life for politics and runs a campaign on that principle above all else — could they even win a primary? If they won their primary, would they be able to raise enough money without selling out their promises to lobbyists? If they managed to raise enough money without abandoning their principles, would they even survive the campaign trail? If they survived, would they win the popular vote? If they won over the American people but the SAVE Act was never passed, would they actually win the election? If they somehow won, would they carry the House? The Senate? Who the hell would even be in the cabinet? If they did win Congress, would they actually enforce existing legislation? Pass anything new of substance? If they attempted to enforce it, would state and local governments comply? If they didn’t comply, would they do what is necessary? If they did — how large would the conflict be? What about the fallout? How much loss or damage is acceptable? In my eyes, the likelihood of us getting the America we deserve is seemingly microscopic. I truly believed Trump winning in ‘24 was a miracle — and it was. It’s just a shame the miracles ended there. Am I a realist? Am I blackpilling? You be the judge.

This paragraph from Carl Jung hits so hard. “The world is full of people suffering from the effects of their own unlived life. They become bitter, critical, or rigid, not because the world is cruel to them, but because they have betrayed their own inner possibilities. The artist who never makes art becomes cynical about those who do. The lover who never risks loving mocks romance. The thinker who never commits to a philosophy sneers at belief itself. And yet, all of them suffer, because deep down they know: the life they mock is the life they were meant to live.”

this wasn't contagion we built a system where identifying as LGBT gave you protected status, social capital, media representation, and institutional preference. the superior class par excellence. no one in american history had more unearned systemic privilege than the alphabet people, and it's not a shock that teenagers adopted it. they were adapting to the incentives. what we are seeing now is a return to normalcy since the incentives have been removed

This will be an extremely controversial article. Prof. @jean_twenge shows that young adults are walking from LGBTQ+ identity and it was more of a social contagion than an orientation. There’s been a 21% decline in young adults identifying as LGB+ in just 3 years.

Went through the same thing after COVID. It’s probably the most demoralized I’ve ever felt. It made no sense to me. I’d been gainfully employed for almost a decade and was a high performer. 100’s and 100’s of applications, less than 5 interviews. Even now, I make less money than I did 5 years ago despite having more education, certifications, referrals, independence, knowledge, a better life outlook, a supportive partner, and even stronger faith in God to guide my path. Things still don’t feel the same to me, because they aren’t. COVID enriched the few at the expense of the many.

Unemployment is so isolating. it was hands down the toughest period of my life. I do not think most people understand how chronically lonely it is when you’re unemployed and can’t even get an interview after months of giving 100% to find work. You feel worthless, like you have no value, like you don’t matter

The administration admits 🇮🇱 dragged us into the 🇮🇷 war that’s already cost too many American lives and billions of dollars. Before it’s over, the price of gas, groceries, and virtually everything else is going to go up. The only winners in 🇺🇸 are defense company shareholders.

So he's flat out telling us that we're in a war with Iran because Israel forced our hand. This is basically the worst possible thing he could have said.

So far we’ve heard that although we killed the whole Iranian regime, this was not a regime change war. And although we obliterated their nuclear program, we had to do this because of their nuclear program. And although Iran was not planning any attacks on the US, they also might have been, depending on who you ask. And although we are not fighting this war to free the Iranian people, they are now free, or might be, depending on who seizes power, and we have no idea who that will be. The messaging on this thing is, to put it mildly, confused.
