@sspencer_smb @JamesSurowiecki I haven’t read the book. So I can’t say what the author intended. But I think the filmmakers who adapted the novel definitely included those messages in the film. It’s clearly promoting the idea of different types of people working together for the betterment of all.

It's a movie about a guy who's a member of a multinational crew, sent into space thanks to a global scientific effort, who then gives up his chance to return home in order to save a literal alien who looks like a rock, and who ends up spending his days in a foreign land happily teaching alien kids. @scottcwheeler You obviously have Cossa/Augustine high in your rankings, but Postava/Gylander are only a year older, and Guimond might have been the best goalie in Canadian junior hockey. Given how voodoo goalies are it sometimes feels like any of these guys have a shot at being legit.

@scottcwheeler Given how many goalies come from nowhere to be relevant prospects, how do you adjust your goalie rankings, prospect projections, etc. over time? Just thinking about Detroit, where an undrafted guy and 7th rounder played as well as a first rounder in the AHL this year.

@HockeyWithDevin @313Hockey I'll contest that: when Kasper was there in October they were dominating their minutes, but not scoring. Cat was absolutely snakebitten (took like 40 5v5 shots to get like one goal). The *did* start scoring again when Copp arrived, but that's a real correlation/causation thing.

IMO Andrew Copp is the most overhated player on this roster, yes he isn’t a 2C but 90% of criticisms directed at him are unwarranted
