Stats on microtia & aural atresia - An estimated 660 babies are born each year in the US with microtia/atresia. - Approximately 800,000 people have microtia in the world. - There is an increased risk for microtia on chromosome 3 FOXI3. - Right ear is more affected. Ear Community
