The internet has gotten very good at counting activity. Views. Clicks. Impressions. Likes. Comments. Shares. But counting activity is not the same as understanding value. As more online behaviour can be generated, boosted or faked, the metrics we have relied on for years are starting to look less like proof and more like guesses. The next chapter of the digital economy will not be built on bigger numbers. It will be built on better signals. Real people. Real actions. Real value.

As a lecturer, I don’t just teach my students about the importance of the internet. I want them to understand that the internet has become part of everyday life, a place where ideas grow, opportunities appear, and dreams can connect within seconds.
But behind all this convenience, there is one major problem that today’s internet depends too much on third parties. Personal data is constantly collected, identities can be misused, and digital trust is slowly becoming weaker.
This is where blockchain brings a new direction and one of the most exciting projects right now is @burnt_xion.

by far the most impactful mental health exercise for me is overcoming the hedonistic treadmill, and versions of it, and it's something that has to be practiced and reminded constantly
it's crazy how often we can accomplish amazing things, have an objectively good life, career, health, .... but still wake up thinking that we need something else to be happy or motivated.
I talk about this in my non-technical presentations, but I try to incorporate negative visualization in my life, and a "day 1" attitude with my career.
negative visualization === deliberately imagining losing what I value... people, health, possessions.. so that I appreciate them more deeply and reduce fear of loss.
day 1 attitude with my career === treating my current work like the opportunity I once dreamed of earning, so I stay grateful, curious, hungry, and unwilling to take it for granted.

It is no longer enough to ask whether something looks active.

🤕I’m not trying to look busy.
I am busy.
Sometimes one tweet takes me 2–3 hours, because I’m not just throwing words on the timeline. I’m trying angles, cutting lines, changing the hook, thinking how to make people actually stop and read.
I may not always do things the “right” way.
But I’m working. I’m learning. I’m experimenting.
And honestly, I’m giving a lot more effort than people probably see from the outside.
I’m with @burnt_xion for the long run.
