PSA for new drivers. Do Not let your dispatcher or boss dictate to you about road conditions. Unless they are with you, they don’t know what the road conditions are. Sitting behind a desk a thousand miles away from you, they don’t know. If you aren’t 100% sure of your abilities, don’t be afraid to tell them no. That decision was always mine. If DOT called for chains, then it was time to park. Especially with Hazmat. Remember, no load is worth your life.
