I am an absolute sucker for old, like pre-1950 old, cards. While it's obviously a low grade, I love this card and its significance in representing this first era of Athletics baseball. 1934 Goudey #1 PSA 1

Keeping with the Warriors-A's-Raiders rotation, this one, like my last post, take us to Philadelphia! Before the A's moved to Oakland they had a storied run in Philly and no player better personifies that run than Jimmy Foxx.

This is one of my favorite cards of his and the only question is when I’ll stop being lazy and send it off to PSA 🫠 There are definitely some other big Andre’s I’d love to add to the PC and hopefully someday I will! 2004 Upper Deck Exquisite #85 RPA /99

Would run into him from time to time around the Bay and he was always friendly. Was sad to see him retire, but thrilled he was able to get that 4th ring in 2022.

While Steph definitely has the most dominant position in my PC and remains my all time favorite, my second most collected Warrior is for sure Andre Iguodala. What he did to help kick off the dynasty is not misunderstood by any Dubs fan.

We'd have those seats during their entire duration in Oakland. And unlike the A's post departure, I still root for the Raiders! Admittedly I had plans of posting my favorite player, Charles Woodson, but I couldn't find the card I had in mind... 🥲

With Warriors (Steph) and A's (Rickey) covered in my first two posts it's only right to post from my beloved Silver & Black! When the Raiders moved back to Oakland, I was about 8 years old and my dad bought season tickets.

For post #2 I had to go with my first favorite player ever, Mr. Man of Steal, Rickey Henderson. Growing up in Oakland, I'd go to 20+ A's games a year as a kid and Rickey was always the guy.

@PeteIncaviglia @kaseymcdd @TheWuWu Yeah I guess that’s what still has me with the bad taste… how PSA can authenticate as real and then not grade it. Just doesn’t make sense to me and feels like a flaw. I assume an “authentication” is PSA authenticating what was sold is actually what it is. Which wasn’t the case

@EastBayCards @kaseymcdd @TheWuWu It's tricky. From what I saw the cards are real, but not every card can be holdered by PSA. Printing plates in particular can only be holdered if they are embedded into the card stock.

Doing some prep before sending my cards off to @PSAcard! 🔬🧐 Anyone have experience using a centering tool? Just got one and want to make sure it’s accurate! Also, any other grading prep tips? Responses appreciated as always ☺️

@PeteIncaviglia @kaseymcdd @TheWuWu The Andre 1/1 is obviously where most of my frustration came from but the not grading the Klay 1/1 rookie plate also felt a bit off as it’s known that plates will sometimes be part of other products. Again, just not what I was expecting

I just feel a bit confused given I purchased a 1/1 from eBay, went to PSA to be authenticated, passed authentication, and then when I submit to PSA for grading it got rejected. I was also a little disheartened that the past 1/1 XRCs from that set …

@PeteIncaviglia @kaseymcdd @TheWuWu That PSA had graded couldn’t be referenced. For all I know and for all he could confirm, 1/1 XRCs from that set do not have the stamp (or the die cut) like other non XRCs from the set. 🤷‍♂️

@PeteIncaviglia @kaseymcdd @TheWuWu @PeteIncaviglia I had a recent submission get rejected from grading, but had gone through eBay verification (through PSA) beforehand. Curious how this happens? (Case #01776388 if you want to look into it). Bradley from PSA support was great through the process fwiw
