Kabul has formally expressed concerns over the evolving transit trade arrangements between Pakistan and the Kyrgyz Republic, particularly in light of disruptions affecting traditional trade routes involving Afghanistan.
In an official communication, Afghanistan’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce highlighted that the shift in transit dynamics—especially Pakistan’s suspension or restriction of trade routes involving Afghanistan—is not acceptable from Kabul’s perspective. Afghan authorities stressed that previously utilized routes through Afghanistan were more established, efficient, and beneficial for regional connectivity.
The Ministry urged both Pakistan and the Kyrgyz Republic to reconsider the current framework and move toward restoring earlier transit routes that passed through Afghan territory.
