1/2 Hello Odame, Hope you had a good day. Eastern Region isn’t left out on the list of the "Big Push" infrastructure agenda, here are the projects aligned by their current implementation status. This categorization reflects those that are currently active on the ground (Started) versus those that are in the final procurement, design, or mobilization phases (Yet to be Done) 🚧 1. Projects Already Started (Work in Progress)and anchored under Big Push These projects have contractors on-site, are undergoing active construction, or have completed significant phases of rehabilitation: * Nsawam - Apedwa Road: A critical component of the Accra-Kumasi dualization; work is actively ongoing to ensure a seamless 6-lane transition. * Somanya - Kpong-Akuse Road: Reconstruction and asphaltic overlay are currently underway to support this educational and industrial hub. * Rehabilitation of Atimpoku - Asikuma Junction Road: Part of the Eastern Corridor stabilization; contractors are mobilized and working on surface improvements. * Rehabilitation of Asikuma Junction - Anyirawasi Road: Ongoing works to improve the link between the Eastern and Volta Regions. * 1,000km Agricultural Enclave Roads: Phased construction has commenced across various districts to ensure farmers can reach markets during the 2026 harvest seasons. * Rural Electricity Acceleration & Urban Intensification: Rollout is active, with poles being mounted and transformers installed in several underserved communities across the region.

Dear @akosuawat , Good Day. Please, is the Eastern Region part of Ghana and was it included in the 2025 and 2026 budget? No Big Push project in the region, I mean nothing is happening. Bad roads everywhere. It seems you are a Krobo or your husband is. Fix Akpamu - Akpo road.

The Ghana Armed Forces recruitment exercise at Koforidua Jackson Park is calm this afternoon. Earlier, a high turnout led the GAF to split Stage One into two days: today, recruits for the Navy and Air Force are being attended to, while Army recruitment continues tomorrow.

Come to think of it, apart from Thomas Partey, I can't identify any other player that hails from the Eastern Region. I think it’s about time we put together an initiative to hunt for future Black Stars talents from the Eastern Region. Do we have any trusted sports agencies in Ghana we can partner with?

On behalf of H.E. President John Dramani Mahama, I commissioned the new DVLA Office at Akwatia yesterday, Sunday, 31st August 2025. President Mahama has always believed in continuity of governance, ensuring that no project serving the people is left unfinished. This new office is a clear example of that commitment, bringing essential services closer to the community while we also pursue new initiatives that shape our nation’s growth. God be our helper!

Yesterday, H.E. John Dramani Mahama visited Koforidua as part of his Thank You Tour to express deep appreciation to the people of the Eastern Region for the mandate to reset and rebuild the nation. During his visit, the President renewed his commitment to advancing development across the region. Key promises made to the people of the Eastern Region: 1. Completion of the Eastern Regional Hospital. 2. Dualization of the Koforidua- Bonsu-Apedwa Road. 3. Construction of a modern bridge over the Afram Plains River. 4. Extension of the Eastern Regional Water Supply Project to benefit over 1 million people. 5. Finalization of the Osino-Anyinam Bypass. 6. Commitment to fixing major roads and improving infrastructure across the region. 7. The inclusion of the Eastern Region in the Big Push program. The Eastern Region will continue to receive its fair share of national development, with a focus on infrastructure, healthcare, education, and other essential needs of the people. Mr. President, we will continue to support your vision and work together to ensure the full implementation of these promises. Thank you, Eastern Region.
Thank you, Ghana. 🇬🇭
