₹50,000 crore "lost" to tax evasion annually. Govt's solution? Hire 10,000 new officers to send notices to existing taxpayers. NOT to catch evaders. NOT to audit shell companies. To verify if your ₹50,000 FD interest was declared. This isn't tax collection. It's harassment infrastructure.
