The Student Farmers Market series wrapped up last week at Tierra Bonita Elementary, where students explored fresh produce, tried new fruits, and picked items to take home. A big thank you to the staff and volunteers who supported the experience! 🍓🥬

Students across EUSD elementary schools continue to take part in Farmers Market experiences, exploring fresh foods. Today, students at Columbia Elementary selected fresh produce to bring home to their families 🍎🥬

Students at Columbia Elementary celebrated perfect attendance with a Barber Farms Petting Zoo visit 🐐🎉 Being at school every day helps students stay on track and build habits that support long-term success!

Friday’s Parent University at Eastside Elementary School brought a strong turnout of families. Parents stayed engaged, asked questions, and connected with staff and resources. Shoutout to the students who performed, they did a great job 👏

Eastside Elementary students explored a variety of fruits and vegetables during their Farmers Market experience, with support from the Child Nutrition team. With the help of parent volunteers, students sampled new foods and took fresh produce home to share with their families 🍎

This week, EUSD brought community partners together for a collaboration session on how to support students and families! We are grateful for these partnerships and look forward to the continued work 🤝

This morning’s DELAC meeting brought families together for discussion, collaboration, and recognition of PIQE participants, all in support of English Learners. 🤝👏

The Coffee with the Superintendent series continued at Eastside Elementary this morning, bringing families together with Dr. Fullwood, district, and site leadership for updates and discussion ☕ Thank you to the Eastside families for their commitment to staying involved!

Families celebrated their completion of the Parent Institute for Quality Education (PIQE) Program! Participants gained tools to navigate the school system and support their children’s success! 🎓👏

The Attendance Bell made its way to Eastside Elementary! 🔔 Superintendent Dr. Fullwood presented the bell to Principal Dr. Hughes in recognition of the school’s strong attendance for the month of February 👏

Parents and volunteers joined classrooms at Tierra Bonita Elementary this morning as part of Read Across America activities! They spent time reading with students and sharing stories, helping celebrate the joy of reading across EUSD 📚

Our recent Harry Potter Trivia Night celebrated literacy across EUSD. Families enjoyed friendly trivia, treats, raffle prizes, and free books from LA County Librarians. As we recognize Read Across America Week, we’re reminded how reading brings our school community together 📚✨

EUSD’s Food Distribution last Friday reflected the teamwork of our staff, liaison team, and dedicated volunteers! In partnership with Rescue Mission Alliance, we continue serving families across our community. 🤝 📅 Next distribution: Friday, March 13th

Beginning Monday, February 23rd, students across EUSD are invited to join Spirit Week activities as we lead up to our annual Family Fun Day celebrating Black History Month on Friday, February 27th 🎉
