@kouotsu It's a stuuupid bug I was dealing with recently too.
In preferences under "General" choose "Use Legacy "New Document" interface" and it should work again.
@SFBDim I’d guess it was likely somewhere between overly cautious direction as it was the director’s first direction job (he was actually the composer for Secret of Mana previously), budget and not wanting full mocap sequences or cg cutscenes for small details.
100% coulda just left it..
@EatTheWeak there are a few times text is used like that when you enter a room, usually to set up the context for a cut-scene. They're fine but they probably could have all been removed and I wouldn't have been confused.
I finished Koudelka. Really great. The weirdest thing, is that you’re supposed to lose to the final boss. It’s not impossible to win, just very hard. But the ending you get when you lose is the longest/best ending, and supposedly the correct/canon one. So weird!??
@SFBDim It seems like such a simple thing, but it really made a difference.
I mean apart from that one scene where a dialogue box just *tells* you that a plant attacked you and you kinda just have to take it's word for it...
Oooh noooo!!
@SFBDim Ooh Koudelka has a really interesting production background! The cutscenes were all motion captured and the audio recorded from a stage set simultaneously, so the actors were A) in the same room and B) actually interacting when recording.
@mais2@YouTube Pleeease! I hope this quality is consistent. The music's by the composer who did the music for Hereditary, this could be so gooood... Uweehhh
@loppiart Rough Animator is better for animation. Proper layers, easy scrubbing with multi touch for quick sketching. the drawing tools are very eeeh though and half of it's hidden behind menus. As far as I can tell there's no real killer animation app yet.
@RANDGRRRIS@joysuke But are you likely to make that mistake again now? I assume no, becuase you recognise that making that assumption was wrong and (as you said) 'accidentally racist'. And if you recognise that there's a problem with making that assumption you recognise that racism is bad. -
@RANDGRRRIS@joysuke But that's not how Joysuke's experience went. This letter to the company is to highlight that this happened and it's not the way to deal with this situation, and to explain the implications and impact that those sorts of actions have, which I think is absolutely fair to write.
@RANDGRRRIS@joysuke -I would assume if you’d been immediately called up on the assumption you made in that instance that you’d accept it was insensitive, because you did just that when you realised.
