In a former life, when I thought you cd politely persuade people not to be racist Their response? "If you don't like it here, LEAVE". Which I'm yet to hear said to a white British person Racism is telling black people who have a critique of their own country, they should leave

@afuahirsch This response is mortifying and cringeworthy, to say the least. I am all for debate of minds and opinions, but not when parties are too stubborn to reflect on the fact that their beliefs and values could be outdated & racist.

I asked about PPE 5 weeks ago and was told that the Govt were seeking UK manufacturers. Yesterday, the Govt announced that the companies who came forward 5 weeks ago, have only just started the process. The Government were asleep at the wheel - it's cost the lives of NHS staff.

This #COVID crisis has cracked open some gaping holes in my view....in general I don’t think medical staff understand the dietitians role or the impact nutrition may play in recovery.
