@XxBlinkerzxX In Championship, Mendoza was 16/27 59.3% completion for 186 yards and 0 TD, how is that shining bright?

@Ebev02 How?! 16 td difference and turnover machine. Moore had more ints in 1 playoff game than Mendoza had the whole post season. Against 3 first round picks? He beat them lmao

@XxBlinkerzxX Again, not saying it was guarantee, but Dante Moore would have made it tough on Vegas, plus Mendoza shined real bright in the championship game 🤷‍♂️🤷

@XxBlinkerzxX I mean Moore was in the playoffs and had comparable season stats. Not saying it would have been guaranteed, but if Moore declared, it would not have been so clear cut.

Just once I want to hear a team say “yeah we don’t have high hopes for our 6th round pick. He probably won’t make the team and if he does he’ll be inactive on game days”

Cubs closer Daniel Palencia (lat strain) has made enough progress that the team is considering activating him Friday for the start of a three-game series against the Diamondbacks at Wrigley Field.

Well; this is obviously frustrating on many levels. It’s hard to put into words the emotions and mental state that something like this can leave you in. Nor do I want to really. I just know I have given 100% and have done everything that’s been asked of me and at the end of the day that’s all I can do. But somethings just can’t be explained. For a lack of a better term; “shit just happens sometimes” In the same breathe; I also know I am one of the best pitchers on this planet. And I will get back to that and even better. There has never been a backup plan. It’s always been baseball. And it will remain that way. God hasn’t dealt me anything I can’t handle. God saves his toughest battles for his strongest soldiers. God; and his son Jesus Christ have my back and at the end of the day that’s all I need. I also want to say thank you to everyone who has shown their concern and has reached out. It really means more than you know. Truly a blessing to have the support. Miss being with the guys everyday. Miss all of it. And I will get back to it. - #35

Chicago Bears brass met virtually today with the NFL's Stadium Committee to discuss the team's two proposed stadium sites. The Bears presented an update on the Arlington Heights, Ill. and Hammond, Ind. sites. Per source, the committee members agreed that these 2 sites are the only viable options and expressed a need to move the process forward "expeditiously." There was no vote taken but the Stadium Committee will meet again within 2 weeks. Source says that the committee also acknowledged the Illinois legislature needs to continue to work to move the process forward, which will now require the PILOT bill to move through the senate.
