@Eccles9

It's difficult to be surrounded by people who are excitedly looking for the fairies at the bottom of the garden when you're a witness to what the guy with the spray pack and whippersnipper did the day before...

For all those looking forward to an entertaining tweet, we've substituted this inferior imported version to illustrate that quality control on this account has really gone to hell.

The good news is the world didn't end. The not so good news is that it actually will end some time in the next five thousand million years. The bad news is that all still means there's housework to be done - that never ends.

George Orwell famously said 'Advertising is the rattling of a stick inside a swill bucket.' I'm guessing his head would have exploded from the effort of finding a metaphor to aptly describe social media.

Due to economy measures and to minimise its environmental impact, this post is made solely from words, characters and punctuation recycled from previous posts. Any similarity to previous posts is entirely due to deja vu on your part.

You may think this is just an ordinary everyday sunset image, and in its way, it is. What makes it extraordinary (above the standard level of celestial mechanics and optical physics anyway) is that this sunset was photographed by one of humanity's robotic ambassadors on Mars.

The world's first digital camera created by Steven Sasson at Kodak in 1975. It weighed 3.6 kg and took a 0.01 megapixel black and white image which was recorded onto a cassette tape and took 23 seconds. The resulting image needed to be viewed via a television.
