@DannyLannon It’s to do with the Sunday Trading laws. You are only allowed 6hrs to ‘purchase’ goods. So the 30mins allows you or the store ‘extra’ shopping time, it’s a bit of a loophole.

Here’s one for you. Asda opens at 10am But checkouts only open at 10:30 Browsing only between 10 and 10:30 🤦‍♂️

The great @marksandspencer banana rip off: Bananas used to be sold by weight. Suddenly they’re 18p each. And they’re half the size. I’m having to pay 3 times as much. It’s driving me bananas.

Why I don’t pay into one, never ever going to see it anyway.

@DannyLannon @Stehodgy65 Workplace/private pensions can usually be accessed earlier than retirement age. Some are from age 55, some age 60. Which helps you retire early. The ‘pension age’ is state pension. So you’re forced to work until that age, if you don’t have any other income.

@Eclipse12002 @Stehodgy65 But does it only become available when you retire? The point I’m getting at is there keep raising the retirement age to a point I probably won’t get it anyway? Plus family experiences tells me it only hinders them when they get to a point they need benefits/care - can’t get it

@DannyLannon @Stehodgy65 Your work pension is not your state pension, And you should pay into a works pension, I know you think it’s a waste of money as you’re reasonably young. But ask any financial adviser and they tell you to opt in, plus you get tax relief.
